JOAN
please put all
love letters in the mail by September 20, 2013.
Today, we’d
love for you to help us shower some much needed love letters on Joan. Her dear
friend writes that Joan has experienced many tragedies throughout her life,
some beginning as early as her high school years. Those whom she held dear have
since passed away. She has lost her husband, twin sister, and all her remaining
family, leaving her to feel as if she is alone in the world with no love or
support. Her friend writes: “Joan needs LOVE and lots of it. Please consider
her.” So everyone, let’s script enough love letters to remind this brave woman
that she is not alone, even in the toughest times.

SUSAN
please put all
love letters in the mail by September 20, 2013.
This story
absolutely touched our hearts and we hope you will put pen to paper to share
some love with Susan. Her friend writes: “Susan’s husband and son died in a
tragic accident not long ago. Both her son’s death and his father’s leave many
grieving, but I can imagine no one feels their losses more keenly than Susan,
who is now the sole survivor of this family. I believe Susan needs all
the love she can get to help her through this hard, hard time. The entire
community has rallied to support her, but it would be absolutely amazing if
strangers could reach out to her as well. I know it would bring a smile to her
face, and give her the strength to go on.” Let’s help bring a bit of sunshine
to Susan’s life and fill her hands and heart with love letters.

HANNA
please put all
love letters in the mail by September 20, 2013.
Hanna’s mother
sent this lovely request to us, writing that her daughter could definitely use
some love letters at this time in her life. “My daughter is pregnant with her
third child, just started working a full-time job that includes 12-hour shifts,
and is working hard on her marriage… She is tired, often discouraged and has
limited emotional and financial resources. Words mean a lot to her and being
able to read and re-read love letters from around the world could make all the
difference.” How about we send some words of encouragement to this strong woman
and gift with some love letters to lift her spirits?

CEIMA
please put all
love letters in the mail by September 20, 2013.
So this
wonderful request comes from Ceima’s best friend, who scripted these words for
us: “Ceima and I have been friends for over 15 years now and currently she is
going through a really rough time in life. She is now newly divorced, with two
kids and starting her bachelor’s degree over again. We have been trying to
uplift her but she cannot seem to shake the feeling of “being alone” in this
boat. I would love for her to get some love letters to just raise her spirits.
She is much stronger than she thinks.” Yes she is! So let’s pick up our pens,
pull out some paper, and shower Ciema with some love letters to let her know
she’s not alone.

KATHY
please put all
love letters in the mail by September 20, 2013.
Get ready to script some love letters
for Kathy! Her friend writes to us, telling a little about her story: “Kathy
has been battling stage 4 cancer. There are good days and bad. She is kind,
funny, witty, strong, smart, and is a loving Mom and Grandma to her family. She
loves rock music and likes to dance. Lately she has been having a very tough
time with her chemo treatments and is out from work for sometimes a week or
longer. The chemo leaves her exhausted and sick, and confined to her bed. I
know these letters would give her hope and happiness and encourage her to keep
going. I want her to feel loved and appreciated and believe that she can kick
cancer in the butt!” Okay everyone, let’s get some love letters full of
encouragement and spirit into Kathy’s hands!

Love is a language spoken by everyone but understood only by
heart.
I wish those who get my cards can feel the
love, which is the only thing in this world that covers up all the pain and
makes us feel wonderful again. In addition, the psychology behind this moment
might be spreading love to the world. I’ve got another idea, maybe leaving love
letters at the church might be a good choice too. Therefore, I could leave
something like god bless you…and those who gets the letter won’t feel awkward
as Christians are usually enthusiastic and needs love from the others.
It’s a movement held by the church, maybe I
can make small cards with “Smile” on them.

I can't see the images. What are they for? Having read from these letters, you can start to think about what you want to write to people.
